Pia Carti

A love of colour and light led Pia to explore working with stained glass. She started by making traditional stained glass panels and windows, but discovered the freedom and spontaneity of working with warm glass and this has became her main passion. She has trained in Tonbridge, Maidstone and Rochester and has achieved a City & Guilds in decorative and stained glass. She has also undertaken specialist courses in fusing, casting and mosaic work.

Pia has enjoyed taking part in the South East Open Studios events since 2009 and has welcomed people visiting her studio each June. In 2011 she was given the fantastic opportunity of taking over the running of West End House Gallery alongside fellow artist Karen Papworth.
