George Rodger

We are privileged to hold a selection of iconic photographs by this renowned photographer. George Rodger co-founded Magnum Photos in 1947 alongside Robert Capa, Henry Cartier-Bresson and David 'Chim' Seymour. Magnum radically changed the face of photojournalism and remains today one of the most important agencies in the world.

Included in our collection are shots of Africa, the Blitz and Smarden, where he lived for over 40 years. It's particularly special for us as George Rodger's widow, Jinx, still lives in the village and allows us to show, and sell, these wonderful photographs from her personal archive. Some signed prints are available.
