Wendy Love Hinds

Wendy lives and works in the heart of Kent with the beautiful surrounding countryside as her inspiration. Though she enjoys using many different mediums for her drawings and paintings, for her sculpture she works mainly in clay. Her work naturally expresses character and humour that makes it feel like each piece has just leapt from the pages of a story book.
For each of her sculptures she studies from photos, film footage and if she's really lucky, straight from nature itself, making a series of sketches to work from. With her sculptures Wendy tries to express movement and the relationship the animals have with both each other and their environment. In her paintings and drawings she is captivated by the quality of light and the atmosphere it creates. She has recently started on a series of hare illustrations.
